Thanks for the request. I want to thank all of you for putting the past behind us and will try to have a better attitude in the future. In fact, when I figure this site out I plan on making a blog to that effect letting everyone know I intend to treat this site like I do with my liberal friends in real life. I've even been working on changing my attitude over at SH. I look forward to your always insightful blogs. ken

Senate GOP Launching New Campaign Against Health Care Law
Under the slogan “second opinion,” Republicans plan to communicate their message on multiple fronts, including on the Senate floor, in press conferences, via the Internet and through television and radio appearances. A Republican Senate aide described the effort as intended “to draw attention to the consequences of the health care law that the White House hopes people miss.” Democrats rebuked the strategy as typical of what the Republicans offered throughout the contentious health care debate. “I guess it takes Republicans a ‘second opinion’ to ignore all the benefits of the new law,” a Democratic Senate aide said. “Their second opinion pretty much sounds like their first opinion — just the same old rehashed obstructionism at its worst.”

Inhofe Says U.S. Soldiers Will Be Unwilling To Fight And Die For Their Gay Comrades

New target of rights erosions: U.S. citizens
A primary reason Bush and Cheney succeeded in their radical erosion of core liberties is because they focused their assault on non-citizens with foreign-sounding names, casting the appearance that none of what they were doing would ever affect the average American. There were several exceptions to that tactic -- the due-process-free imprisonment of Americans Yaser Hamdi and Jose Padilla, the abuse of the "material witness" statute to detain American Muslims, the eavesdropping on Americans' communications without warrants -- but the vast bulk of the abuses were aimed at non-citizens. That is now clearly changing.

Sarah Palin 2012 Opposed By Alaskans
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Alaska found 48 percent of respondents said they would not vote for their former governor in a 2012 presidential election. Just 41 percent said they would vote for Palin. Eleven percent said they were undecided.

If Jack Abramoff weren't in prison, he'd be leading the Tea Party
Those faces at the front of the Tea Party are paid to be there. It's no different than a reality show in that regard. Deborah Johns, Amy Kremer, Loyd Marcus? All make around $5,000/month for their participation in the Tea Party Express tours. Tea Party Nation has Mark Skoda and Judson Philips on their payroll.
